Black Cumin Oil or Black seed oil or genus name Negella Sativa is a long-standing medicinal plant that has been used over the past 2000 years. It is an annual flowering plant in the family Ranunculaceae, native to south and southwest Asia.
Its current use is broad for both acute and chronic issues with a variety of pharmacological properties, which include antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-histaminic and anti-microbial aspects.
Anti-allegic effects of Nigella Sativa, a herb found in nature, were reported based on thymoquinone; an active ingredient of N. Sativa. According to American Journal of Otolaryngology and Nikahlagh et al, a prospective double blinded study found, N.Sativa helps reduce common allergy symptoms and presence of nasal mucosal congestion, nasal itching, runny nose, sneezing attacks, turbinate hypertrophy.
